[ JP ] comes from the sunny North-West of England. He moved to London in 1996 where it’s also sunny, but less people speak to you about it on the bus.
Image and fashion have been his driving force ever since he left the pram. When he added into this a genuine desire to help people dress to their potential, either in-front of the camera or in their daily lives, he knew it would be a life-long passion.
After the move to London and a few years freelance fashion work, he took the position of head stylist and manager/designer of the VIP styling service of a major high street flagship store. Whilst there, he dealt with a wide cross section of celebrities, press and shoppers alike, making sure that each was given a gentle nudge in the right direction. This led him to making connections with fashion buyers and international companies which, in turn, led to a job offer to work as a trend spotter for a large fashion brand outside of the UK.
After some years of experience he decided to set up [ EffortMade ] and go back to the world of freelance styling, this time with his own company and a mission firmly in hand. He has been styling bands, catwalks, campaign shoots and busy mums ever since.
He wouldn't have it any other way.
